Saturday 25 August Official arrival of international ploughmen, supervisors, WPO Board,
international guests and delegations (10 day package)
Sunday 26 August

Kick-off excursion for all

Tour to Hohenzollern Castle, parallel professional farm visit

Official welcome of guests at the main and state studs of Marbach with stallion’s parade,
tour of the premises, social evening with barbecue, etc.

Monday 27 August

Practice ploughing for ploughmen/supervisors at Einsiedel estate

Excursion for international guests:

  •  Trip to Ulm (border to Bavaria), visit of Ulmer Münster and Fischer Viertel,
    professional visit

Evening: Presentation host country USA

Tuesday 28 August

Practice ploughing for ploughmen/supervisors at Einsiedel estate

Excursion for international guests:

  • Three-country border Lake Constance/Upper Swabia tour, Reichenau island,
    church of pilgrimage Birnau, dinner on a farm
 
Wednesday 29 August

Practice ploughing for ploughmen/supervisors at Einsiedel estate

Programme for international guests:

  • Stuttgart city tour and Daimler Benz Museum; possibly farm visit

Evening:  Baden-Württemberg-Evening “From Farmer to Farmer”

Thursday 30 August

Arrival of international guests and delegations (5-day package)

Practice ploughing for ploughmen/supervisors at Einsiedel estate

Excursion for international guests:

  • Baroque Castle Ludwigsburg
  • Wine tour in the Neckar Valley to Monrepos
  • Herzog von Württemberg winery
 
Friday 31 August

Practice ploughing for ploughmen/supervisors at Einsiedel estate

Excursion for international guests:

  • Morning:  3 excursions to choose from:
         -  Visit of Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG in Winnenden
         -  City tour university town Tübingen 
         -  Visit Outletcity Metzingen

Afternoon/evening: Festive Ploughman’s worship service at Einsiedel,
Official opening ceremony with flag-raising, Unveiling of Peace of Cairns,
Festive evening in the beer pavilion, Official drawing of the competition plots for “stubble ploughing”

International competition in stubble ploughing

Parallel framework programme: “Hohenheim Field Day” with Steam Ploughing demonstration, National Heats Horse Ploughing, numerous other demonstrations: (e.g. precision farming, etc.), regional specialities/farmers’ market, Vintage tractor parade, maize maze, children’s programme and much more

Numerous culinary hospitality options in the beer pavillion

Evening programme with stage show and hot air balloon night glow

Sunday 2 September

International competition in grass ploughing

General programme (see Saturday 1 September); Jazz breakfast

Around 4pm Official close, collection of flags

From 7pm/7.30pm Gala evening with winner awards
